Funerals
If you are looking to arrange a funeral, or exploring ways to remember a loved one, then information on this page should help you.
At St Edmund's there are a number or people within the Staff Team who are able to work with families at a time of bereavement. Please call Ally Spreadbridge on 01322 281838 for more details.
Enquiries about Funerals or Memorial Services should be made with the clergy. We generally only deal with enquiries for people living within Temple Hill or The Bridge community of Dartford. If you live in other parts of Dartford we will be able to let you have the contact details of your local church.
The St. Edmund's Church Memorial Garden is available for the interment of ashes. The garden was upgraded through the generous support of a grant through the KCC member for Temple Hill and the CoOperative Funeral Service. A small team of people help keep the garden looking as good as possible. If you want to help with this - get some exercise and improve your local environment - then get in touch.
At Easter we plant a small Easter garden in the Memorial Garden. This is planted by children at the Easter activity event.
There is a memorial book in the chapel, and memorial chairs available that can be dedicated in memory of loved ones.
A memorial plaque can be inscribed with the names of those interred in the garden.
Details about these through the Centre Office (01322 311201).
Service to Remember Loved Ones: Every year in November we hold a service to remember those who have died. Names are read out and there is a simple act of remembrance. Balloons are released in memory of each person that we remember. Further details from the Centre Office (01322 311201)
