Mission Staff TeamThe Mission Staff Team share with the Bishop of Rochester in ministry leadership. As lay or ordained Christians they have all undergone training and hold a licence for their ministry. The Mission Staff Team at St Edmund's deal with the day to day stuff of the Church. They meet each Wednesday afternoon at 3.30 p.m. for Staff Meeting. This page gives some information about them and their contact details. Bob Callaghan (Vicar) Bob has been Vicar at St Edmund's since 1991. Before that he worked at St John's Hyde Park and St Paul's Winchmore Hill where remarkably he seems to have had an influence. (Scary what you find when you Google yourself!)Bob comes from Kent, growing up in Sandwich. When he left school he took a gap year working with the Missions to Seafarers based at St Mary's Rotterdam. Then he went to King's College London to study for a degree in Theology before training for ministry at Lincoln Theological College. Bob was ordained in 1983. Since being at St Edmund's Bob has worked in helping the church and community work closely together. To help with this Bob completed an MA in Community Development in 2004 with the University of Kent. Bob has contributed a chapter about 'Being Relevant in Preaching' in the book 'How to become a Creative Church Leader' published in 2008. Away from work Bob enjoys life with family and friends - and of course Gypsy the Vicarage guard dog! Bob is on Facebook - you can find him here: Margaret Drury (Reader and Pastoral Assistant) Margaret moved to Knights Manor Way in 1989, after a life as Occupational Therapist, wife & Mother. I have lived on Temple Hill for eleven years and enjoy being part of the community. I take an active interest in what God is doing on Temple Hill and always look for opportunities to involve others in the work of the Living Well. In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing with my family, eating out, going to the theatre and making new friends. I am a mother of two teenage sons and we have two black and white cats. In my role as Evangelist,I am leading in Welcome Training, Faith Sharing Training and exploring ways of developing links with the Beacon Christian Community in the Bridge Development. I took early retirement to be a carer for family members. I am a member of Dartford support group for carers of all ages and disabilities. St Edmunds has given the opportunity to ”get to know God " and over the last few years my relationship with God has developed, I have also learnt how to deal with life issues differently . I have a good relationship with the people on Temple Hill , and I am looking forward to my voluntary work at St Edmunds and working in the community that I care about and love .I would like to see more people get to know God and find the inner peace that I have found through Jesus Christ. One of the things I like to do in my spare time is to travel in my caravan with my hubby and my dogs and watch the world go by . Oh and listen to Elvis. I like a game of cards with my family. And I like to swim when I can. I have a sense of humour and if I were a chocolate bar I would be a fruit and nut because I am bit nutty at times but I bear good fruit! Contact Pam here
