Weddings

Whether you are planning to get married, looking to have a service following a civil registration ceremony, or maybe a ceremony marking a special anniversary - St Edmund's is keen to work with you to make your day as special as possible.

St Edmund's is licensed as a venue for marriages.

If you want a copy of a marriage certificate we only hold records from April 1979. For anything before that please go to Medway Archives and Local Studies Centre (Civic Centre, Strood, Kent) You can access records on line. Click here. Go to  Dartford:St Edmunds on the list of parishes and then to the relevant volume, by date, and search the records for whatever you need. There are instructions on how to print out the pages.

Enquiries about publishing your Banns of Marriage, Weddings or Blessings should be made through the Centre Office or directly to the clergy. We generally only deal with enquiries for people living in Temple Hill or The Bridge community of Dartford. If you live in other parts of Dartford we will be able to let you have the contact details of your local church.

If you are planning a church wedding - click the logo to go to the Church of England site that will help you.
