Weekday Worship St Edmund's Church Living Well. A praying church - praying for mission.
In the spring of 2009 the chapel was re-ordered allowing much more flexibilty in the way the room can be used. It is a place of peace and quiet - we ask that you respect other people's silence! It is a Mission prayer room - in particular as we use it for weekday worship, focussing on mission.
Weekday services. During the week we follow a simple pattern of daily worship. The bell is rung and we share in a pattern of Anglican worship that has nurtured and nourished people in the faith for many centuries.
Using the Church of England's 'Common Worship' material, we read some bible readings and psalms interspersed with times of silence. An important part of our daily prayer life is to pray for the concerns of the world as well as the community of Temple Hill and the Bridge. There is a real sense that when we gather for prayer at St. Edmund's day by day, we are sharing with other Christians throughout the world doing much the same thing as us.
St. Edmund's follows this pattern of daily services:
Morning Prayer is said at 9 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Evening Prayer is said at 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday - Friday.
There is a Healing Communion Service each Wednesday at 9.30 a.m.
The chapel is available each day for silent prayer. The sacrament is reserved in the chapel.
